CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY

Before we headed for the country we had to fit in some bowling and Kent's annual birthday breakfast at Elmer's.

Kent and Jean showing off their great skills. I don't know if you can see who is in the lead so in case you can't see I will just tell you...IT WAS ME! I won two games in a row. It is a rare occasion for me to win something when I am with the Tingey crew! So, of course I have to rub it in!

Birthday Boy and Kellan waiting for some delicious breakfast.

Burks wasted no time digging in!

Even after a huge breakfast we can't forget the cake!

Christmas Eve tradition. Guess what it is...

P.J.'s of course.

Everyone loved their Christmas pajamas.

Instead of putting a doll in her new stroller she decided to put her zu-zu pet. The other favorite thing to put into the stroller is sippy cups.

Mom got us each a sign and some sweat pants.

Kellan kept riding Burklee's horse and...

Burklee kept riding Kellan's horse.

Our little photo shoot was not going as planned. They both looked so cute in their new pink coats. I wish I could have got a better picture of the two cuties!

More bowling. Kellan was content to hang with Bonkin, meanwhile Burks was running all over the place! I will blame her for my poor bowling performance. I was distracted and worn out from chasing her all over the place.

Of course we had to do some cross country skiing! I wish I could do this everyday...I love to go out for a quiet ski in the woods while getting a killer workout!
We had such a great time hanging out with our families over the holidays!

THANKSGIVING IN THE CITY

Jeff, Ammon and I were able to go to New York for our Thanksgiving break. WE HAD A BLAST! We stayed with Becky, Brandon & Caden and really enjoyed being with them. My cousin Erica and her husband Nate Kitty just moved to New York so we were able to spend time with them as well.
We left town during a massive snow storm and quite honestly we didn't think our flight was going to leave.

We finally made it to New York after a loooong drive in severe winter conditions. A delayed flight due to bad weather and one child puking on the flight! Ammon was completely exhausted so he put his "curtain" (as he called it) on and took a snooze once we got to Becky and Brandon's.

We started things off with a trip to the American Museum of Natural History. We headed for the Dinosaurs and Ammon was in heaven.

The outside of the Museum was just as cool as the inside.

Getting ready for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ammon playing in a huge pile of leaves in Central Park.

Our feast was Delicious. I loved Becky's words right before we ate. "Thank goodness for Granny Brown." We were able to make quite a few of Granny's delicious thanksgiving specialties.

The photographer rocked this shot!

The boys and me enjoying some rich American history! We even had our own tour guide...Thanks Brandon!

Ammon loved F.A.O. Schwarz...I am pretty sure the adults were having just as much fun.

Ammon's favorite part about NY...the subways!

The Christmas lights and decorations were set up. It was all amazing!

We were able to walk the Brooklyn Bridge with Nate and Erica Kitty. We had such a great time!

Testing out our skills on the ice at Bryant Park. We were all a little rusty!

Jeff and Becky teaching the Boy to skate.

I think we had more fun posing for the camera than we did skating :)

Best popcorn in the world...no joke! We had to get some. I would like to thank Aunt Mel for getting me addicted to such a healthy treat.

Mamma Mia, here I go again. My, My we sure loved the show!

Top of the Rock looking out at the Empire State Building. What a view from up there.
We were able to enjoy so many other things on during our stay. Jeff and I were able to go for a sweet run through Central Park. Becky and Erica and I did TONS of shopping. We even went out for a midnight extravaganza. Becky and I had to walk about a mile with out shopping bags in the middle of a down-pour at 3:30 in the morning. SO FUN! Brandon, Nate and Jeff were also able to enjoy some turkey bowl football (they all came home dirty and a little beat up). I almost forgot to mention all the GREAT food! Thanks again Becky, Brandon, Caden, Nate and Erica for helping create some great, lasting memories.
