FEBRUARY FUN

I was able to take the boys to stay at a hotel . We had so much fun swimming. Ammon is finally getting a little more daring around water. Kellan was content to sit in his floaty and watch.

Ammon won an art contest that was put on by the organizers of Brooklyn's Playground. All the schools in the area participated and two winners from each school were selected. We were so happy for Ammon when we found out he won. He loves to draw and color and he loves playgrounds so I think it was a perfect project for him.

The kids are getting the itch to be outside! On a warm Sunday after Church they all headed for the swing set. They all stayed out until dark to take advantage of our first somewhat warm day.

Kellan went down! He was sitting at the table having breakfast when he leaned to far foreword in his high chair/booster seat and SMACK! He hit the floor so hard and blood was going everywhere. I thought his scream was loud but Burklee definitely had more volume to her scream and cry. I don't know if she was scared or sad...all I know is that she was loud! I had to have Ammon contain her while I tried to clean up Kells. It was quite the morning.

More swimming! Cadence, her kids, Whitney and Porter came over to the hotel to swim with us but before we decided to swim we had some pizza in the hotel room. Just imagine six excited cousins under the age of 6 running around a small hotel room....CRAZY! I can't believe we didn't get kicked out of the hotel.

Ammon had to pick 100 things to put on a hat for his school party. If you look closely you will notice his picked 99 pieces of candy and one letter T! The kid loves sweets.

WHAT'S UP IN TWENTY ELEVEN

JANUARY
Lots and lots and lots of basketball games:
We ended up going to about 14 basketball games during the month of January!
The kids were real troopers...most of the time:)

As Burklee says "go meangals"

Lots of fun enjoying the beautiful snow outside:

Kellan after a long ride in the sled. Good thing he fell out of the sled when we were close to the house rather than a few miles away! He was not to happy with me :)

I was in Soda with babies while my parents were out of town and decided I couldn't waste the beautiful day. So I pulled the kids down around the pond. It wasn't easy but it was great to be outside.
Don't mind my stressed look...I struggle when it comes to taking pics of myself!

Ammon and his buddy...they are growing up so fast! They love to ski together and then they just hop on the lift by themselves. It seems so crazy to me. The other night they went night skiing together and Ammon said they just cruised the hill by themselves.

After ski lessons one beautiful Saturday afternoon.

We also had lots of fun inside:
Ice cream has become a great babysitter!

Just Dance!

Our Burks is busting seams!

I think we might have a little hurdler in the making!

CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY

Before we headed for the country we had to fit in some bowling and Kent's annual birthday breakfast at Elmer's.

Kent and Jean showing off their great skills. I don't know if you can see who is in the lead so in case you can't see I will just tell you...IT WAS ME! I won two games in a row. It is a rare occasion for me to win something when I am with the Tingey crew! So, of course I have to rub it in!

Birthday Boy and Kellan waiting for some delicious breakfast.

Burks wasted no time digging in!

Even after a huge breakfast we can't forget the cake!

Christmas Eve tradition. Guess what it is...

P.J.'s of course.

Everyone loved their Christmas pajamas.

Instead of putting a doll in her new stroller she decided to put her zu-zu pet. The other favorite thing to put into the stroller is sippy cups.

Mom got us each a sign and some sweat pants.

Kellan kept riding Burklee's horse and...

Burklee kept riding Kellan's horse.

Our little photo shoot was not going as planned. They both looked so cute in their new pink coats. I wish I could have got a better picture of the two cuties!

More bowling. Kellan was content to hang with Bonkin, meanwhile Burks was running all over the place! I will blame her for my poor bowling performance. I was distracted and worn out from chasing her all over the place.

Of course we had to do some cross country skiing! I wish I could do this everyday...I love to go out for a quiet ski in the woods while getting a killer workout!
We had such a great time hanging out with our families over the holidays!

THANKSGIVING IN THE CITY

Jeff, Ammon and I were able to go to New York for our Thanksgiving break. WE HAD A BLAST! We stayed with Becky, Brandon & Caden and really enjoyed being with them. My cousin Erica and her husband Nate Kitty just moved to New York so we were able to spend time with them as well.
We left town during a massive snow storm and quite honestly we didn't think our flight was going to leave.

We finally made it to New York after a loooong drive in severe winter conditions. A delayed flight due to bad weather and one child puking on the flight! Ammon was completely exhausted so he put his "curtain" (as he called it) on and took a snooze once we got to Becky and Brandon's.

We started things off with a trip to the American Museum of Natural History. We headed for the Dinosaurs and Ammon was in heaven.

The outside of the Museum was just as cool as the inside.

Getting ready for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ammon playing in a huge pile of leaves in Central Park.

Our feast was Delicious. I loved Becky's words right before we ate. "Thank goodness for Granny Brown." We were able to make quite a few of Granny's delicious thanksgiving specialties.

The photographer rocked this shot!

The boys and me enjoying some rich American history! We even had our own tour guide...Thanks Brandon!

Ammon loved F.A.O. Schwarz...I am pretty sure the adults were having just as much fun.

Ammon's favorite part about NY...the subways!

The Christmas lights and decorations were set up. It was all amazing!

We were able to walk the Brooklyn Bridge with Nate and Erica Kitty. We had such a great time!

Testing out our skills on the ice at Bryant Park. We were all a little rusty!

Jeff and Becky teaching the Boy to skate.

I think we had more fun posing for the camera than we did skating :)

Best popcorn in the world...no joke! We had to get some. I would like to thank Aunt Mel for getting me addicted to such a healthy treat.

Mamma Mia, here I go again. My, My we sure loved the show!

Top of the Rock looking out at the Empire State Building. What a view from up there.
We were able to enjoy so many other things on during our stay. Jeff and I were able to go for a sweet run through Central Park. Becky and Erica and I did TONS of shopping. We even went out for a midnight extravaganza. Becky and I had to walk about a mile with out shopping bags in the middle of a down-pour at 3:30 in the morning. SO FUN! Brandon, Nate and Jeff were also able to enjoy some turkey bowl football (they all came home dirty and a little beat up). I almost forgot to mention all the GREAT food! Thanks again Becky, Brandon, Caden, Nate and Erica for helping create some great, lasting memories.
