SPRING SOCCER

Ammon loves soccer and he really likes Coach Weir.  He will no longer play co-ed so we will miss having Nichole coach Ammon. It will be interesting to see if he still enjoys soccer next year without her.

MOTHER'S DAY

The kids gave me these beautiful hanging baskets.

 My beautiful, classy GRANDmother!

Trying to convince my dad to let me drive the 57 home.
No such luck :(

We decided to see how many grizzys we could fit into the 57 Chevy. Dad took us on a little mothers day ride on a beautiful Sunday evening.

WE LIKE TO RIDE

Notice the goose in the background. Burklee loves to go on rides with daddy.

 Little Farm Boys

Our little guy is turning into a crazy man on his dirt bike.

Somebody has a hard time being a passenger.

Kellan loves to ride his skater boy!

Burklee loves her big girl bike.

On one of my early morning rides with Heidi I rode right through a patch of tumble weeds.  It took a while to dig them all out.  We sure love our morning rides! Best way to start the day!

EASTER

AMMON TURNS 7

Ammon wanted a Mario cake for his family party

For his friend party he wanted to play laser tag. They were all taking the briefing pretty serious.

Such a crazy group of boys but they had so much fun together.

FINAL FOUR

Excited to watch the first game of he Final Four!

A little too excited after a hockey shoot out :)

We were just a small part of such a big crowd!

We took a relaxing and informative tour on river boat.

We got caught walking in the worst rain storm I have ever been in. The amount of water coming down was unreal. Luckily we found a Harley Davidson store that was selling ponchos!

WOW!

TWINNERS TURN 3

They wanted Mickey & Minnie cakes this year.

My little girl loves everything girly...

my little guy on the other hand is all boy!

They love their new bikes.
They were so spoiled this year because so many friends and family took time to celebrate with them.  Buzz came all the way from Boise and Grandpa and Granny Brown came from Twin Falls. Of course Bonkin and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa Tingey came. Lots of  our favorite big kids came to celebrate as well Taylor, Tanner, Kristy, Joe, Ashlee and Courtney. Plus our awesome neighbors the Emile's and Budge's.

We had such a fun day...so fun that Kellan wore himself right out!

MARCH MADNESS

March Madness indeed...we attended so many basketball games this season.  We had both the men's and women's ISU games to attend and also the Highland boy's games.

The ISU women had a phenomenal season going 14-2 in Big Sky play. They won the regular season and got to host the Big Sky tourney.  They won the Big Sky Conference tournament and punched their ticket to the big dance.  During the selection show party it was announced that ISU would play the Miami Hurricanes in Spokane Washington.   So off we go to support our Lady Bengals...

We stayed in a sweet hotel right along the river.  It was a bit on the rainy side but it didn't stop us from getting in some great runs along the river.

Jeff and Steve excited for the game to start.

Our local sportscaster Matt and his crazy pants!

The players got some pretty sweet looking shoes from Nike just for the tournament.

We are so proud of our Lady Bengals! They had an outstanding season and we are so glad we got to be part of the journey!

BIRTHDAY #32

I had a wonderful birthday this year.  Ammon didn't have school so he took me skiing.  We had such a great time together on a beautiful warm, sunny day.  We basically had the mountain to ourselves which was fun. We were also having fun taking pictures of each other.

Jeff said that Ammon really wanted to pick out my cake this year...this is what I got :)

After skiing we went to Holt to play Ultimate Frisbee, eat some yummy dinner from Chili's and have cake and ice cream.  We had so much fun with all our family and friends. Feeling SO Blessed!

BENGAL CHEER CLINIC

Burklee wanted to participate in the 2012 ISU cheer clinic with her friends.  The girls were supposed to be four years old but they let us sign her up anyways. The clinic involved a two-hour practice Friday night followed by a halftime performance at the ISU basketball game on Saturday.  During the practice they split the girls up into little groups and then they rotated to each station to work on their dance/cheer routine (I don't know what you call it). At the end of the two-hour practice they put all the girls together so they could run through the routine as a group.  As you can tell...

Burklee was not happy.  For the most part it was because they kept bringing her back to the group every time she ran off. She wanted to be able to roam free around Holt Arena.  One time she ran off and one of the cheerleaders ran over to her, being cute and playful and as soon as they got close to her she pointed her finger and yelled, "NO!" The poor cheerleader didn't know what to do with her...so embarrassing!

The crazy thing about this whole ordeal was how nervous it was making me.  I was stressing out about what she should wear, how to do her hair, what I should do for her make-up (they told the girls to wear some fun make-up) and whether or not she would actually dance. So after a lot of stress I finally got things planned out.  We got to the game and I made sure she was looking good.  Next thing I know Jeff took the kids outside and got their faces painted.  As I saw the kids come back they were covered in black and orange paint.  There went the make-up and the clean white shirt.  I looked at Jeff and said "are you kidding me!"  About five minutes later she wanted the paint off.  We had to scrub it off with a wipe which in turn made her face super red.  To top everything off, she got into some lip gloss and rubbed it all over her face just minutes before they had to perform!  WOW!  As far as I am concerned this girl is going to be a runner...I can't handle this cheer/dance stuff!!!

I was super nervous at this point thinking tha she was going to bolt or start running through the group during the dance.

She always seemed to be about ten counts behind the rest of the group.  Her somersault did look nice though.

She also loved to go up front and stand right next to her friend Ashlee (cheerleader).
Thanks for taking such good care of her.

I think she is finally on with the group :)

NOT TO OLD...

TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!
I have been snowboarding since my freshman year of college.  I kept telling myself I am to old to try to learn to ski.  Finally after 12 years of snowboarding I decided I give skiing a chance, especially since Ammon has been learning to ski. Jeff did such a great job teaching me. I immediately fell in love with it and have had a huge desire to get better. I think Jeff is now regretting his decision to teach me because I am addicted.
