HOW MUCH FUN.....

can you cram into three days? Well, I think we managed to fill every moment with something exciting. In early December we took off for sunny (I mean rainy) California for several reasons: See old friends, ISU @ USC (men's basketball), Natural History Museum and Disneyland! We landed around noon and went straight to the Natural History Museum because Ammon is so captivated by Dinosaurs. Right when we walked in Ammon noticed the very massive T-Rex. It was so much fun to see him take it all in. After we spent several hours there we headed to Todd and Megan's place and picked up Todd. We all went and had a nice dinner in the bay. We felt bad enjoying a delicious meal while Megan was in the middle of a 36-hour shift. The next day we left early and went to Disneyland and ran from ride to ride trying to maximize our time. Did I mention it was pouring rain! We actually were so grateful for the rain because it really thinned out the crowds. We really didn't have to wait in any lines. We left in the evening and met Todd and Megan at the basketball game. We had a great time chatting and watching basketball. Ammon made it up on the video board and we learned he is quite the entertainer. He busted out his favorite moves from Madagascar II. After the game we all went to eat at this strange but really good restaurant (Rosco's Chicken and Waffles). Saturday brought more rain and fewer people at Disneyland and California Adventure. It was so awesome to run around and act like a kid and not care about getting wet. We spent the entire day at the parks and capped it off with a great dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. We are so grateful to Todd and Megan for letting us stay. We really enjoyed every minute. Thanks for everything!

Ammon, Jeff and T-Rex

Ammon loved Splash Mountain! Lucky for us it was pouring rain so we were able to stay on the ride. It was great!

It's amazing what a piece of $1 dollar plastic can do.

Ammon and Goofy having a deep conversation about Mac and cheese, hot dogs and pizza. Ammon was so grateful that all his favorite foods were on his plate at the same time.

This picture says so much about our trip. He was having an absolute blast. He figured out that instead of waiting in line to hug the characters he could just run up and give a quick hug as we would pass by. In this picture he had just pulled that very trick.

The twins stayed home so we made sure to get them something cute.

I was wondering how you could run from ride to ride . . . leave the twins home.

So glad that we were able to see you during your quick visit! Sorry that you had such bad weather...it left with you and was sunny the day after you left!

Disney is such a wonderful place. I am looking forward to taking my two girls there in the next couple of years.

It is nice to see what you have been up to, and if you ever travel to the deep south (Georgia) let me know and I will try to find you.
